For this recipe the choice of mince is yours, from steak mince,to lamb mince.But all the same, do not hesitate from time to time, to try other mince.
One more thing, when serving this dish to the children DO NOT FORGET to drown the tomato with the homemade sauce, it is easier,for them, to forget that they are eating healthy.
For 6 people

  • Prep Time : 30 minutes
  • Cook Time : 45 minutes



1/ Over a bowl empty the inside of the tomatoes and place the empty tomatoes directly in the oven dish.

2/ In the food processor mince together the onion, garlic and 1 third of the inside of the tomatoes.

3/  In a bowl combine the pork and all the ingredients and generously stuff the tomatoes, put the top on, and, in the oven gas mark 5 (1500C) for 45 mn.

4/For the tomato sauce:

In a pot pour in the rest of the inside of the tomatoes and all the ingredients except the fresh basil and the tomato jar, let it reduce 1/3rd, puree it and add the 1/2 jar of tomato and cook for another 5mn.


Serve on a bed of rice with fresh basil
