Pork Shops in a Creamy Dreamy Sauce with Spinach and Mushrooms

By October 5, 2016

Back to school, back to work, holidays are over. Hence we are running again, no time for cooking but still want a nice diner? look no further in 20mm diner is ready, with simple ingredients. Let’s get cooking!

For three people.

  • Prep Time : 5 minutes
  • Cook Time : 10 minutes

1/ Chopped the mushrooms in thin slices, put aside.

2/ In a very hot pan pour the oil and place the pork chops still on a very high heat, cook for a full 2-3 mn until the chops are lovely and brown, then turn them over, add on top and around the chops the mushrooms, the spinach and the nutmeg, season with the salt and pepper, now you can lower down to medium heat. After two minutes mix in the mushrooms and spinach making sure that it is their turn to brown let them for another minute. Now put the heat back on full again and wait until the spinach have wilted and the mushrooms going brown.

3/ At this stage add the fresh cream and with a spoon make sure to stir everywhere in order to get all the flavours stock at the bottom of the pan.  Cook on a high heat for another minute then off the heat, cover and let it stand for 2-3 minutes for all juices to have time to render.

Serve it to your choices of sauté potatoes or rice. My personnel favourite with this dish is a simple turnip mash with a pinch a nutmeg.

Bon appétit!
