For this recipe the quality of the meat will make a difference, same for the stock a homemade one makes it all. I know who has the time? Wrong this is not about time but habit, you do not throw your chicken bones in the bin but in a pot cover then with water an onion herbs salt and pepper let it reduce etvoilà!

- Cook Time : 30 minutes
1/ Brown the meat and then put aside, then take the onions and carrots (finely chopped) and cook them for 5 mn gently.
2/ Add the rest of the ingredients together except the corn flour, and let it simmer until the carrots are cooked, about 10-15mn.
3/Add the corn flour diluted in water to slightly thicken the mixture and cook gently for a further 10mn
4/ In the meantime mash the potatoes, add butter (the real thing) and a drop of milk, season to taste. The consistency of the mash must be firm but not dry.
5/ Layer the meat in an oven dish and then the spuds and cook it until the top becomes golden brown. Gas mark6(2000c) for 30mn approx..
