Stewed Nectarines with Ginger and Vanilla

In this recipe you can replace the nectarine by absolutely any fresh fruits you have in your house. Let’s get cooking!


For 4-6 people

  • Prep Time : 10 minutes
  • Cook Time : 20 minutes



1/ In a saucepan pour in the water, sugar, ginger, the juices of your 2 lemons or oranges and the vanilla pod halved and scrapped. On a high heat let it reduce a third, approximately 10-15mn.

2/ Peeled and halved the nectarines taking the stone out. As soon as your syrup is ready bring down the heat to a minimum insert the nectarines in your syrup. Bring back to a simmering point (5-10mn). Switch off and  let them to cool.

For the very naughty serve them with a scoop of vanilla ice-cream, Delicious!
