Chicken, Pork and Sesame Seeds Balls

For this recipe I use a combination of pork and chicken mince to avoid the dryness of the chicken mince while keeping his texture intact.

Those littles balls can be serve warm or cold, perfect for a cold buffet or picnic.

Can be prepare up to 2 days in advance.


For 6-8 people

  • Prep Time : 20 minutes
  • Cook Time : 15 minutes



1/ In a bowl mix in the two minces the garlic (peeled and crushed), ginger, soya sauce, egg (cracked), black pepper and tumeric. I found that the best way to mix is with your hand. When the mince start to become one giant ball it is time.

2/ In a plate pour in your sesame seeds and for each bite size ball made, roll them in the sesame seeds and keep on until you are out of the mince. Now for the tedious boring part; in your fry pan add the sesame seeds oil and cook at medium heat, each ball turning them on every side for best results, 4-5 minutes for each batch. Put aside.

3/ In a salad bowl make the dressing whisking in together the honey and soya sauce first and gradually add in the fresh orange juice and finally the oil. Grate the carrot and add them to vinaigrette.

4/ In a serving plate place the lettuce with as much or little of the grated carrots and the chicken balls on top, it looks lovely and, mmmm! So Nice!
