Chocolate Easter Delight

Happy Easter!

For 8 people

  • Prep Time : 20 minutes
  • Cook Time : 45 minutes



1/ Melt in saucepan together the chocolate and butter on a low heat. Set aside.

2/ In a bowl beat together the yolks and the sugar until they become white(ish) and creamy. Add in your chocolate mixture the almonds and the grated chocolate.

3/ Beat the egg whites until they become firm. Take a spoonful of those and stir them into the chocolate mix to start to air it then fold in the rest of the whites.

4/ Pour your mix in a greased tin and bake for 45 mn in the oven gas mark 5 ½ (165 degrees). Turn off your oven and let the cake in for another 15-20 mn (very important).

To decorate your cake I leave it to your imagination, mine was very conventional, just melted chocolate and butter et voilà!
